About Lucy Shelton

If there’s one passion I have in life, I’d say it would have to be music. Not only do I play several instruments (guitar, piano, drums…just to name a few) but I am also a singer in a small, local band. It’s pretty safe to say that music is my life and has been ever since I picked up my first guitar at age nine.

When it comes to my influences, however, there’s no denying that the eras of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s have played the biggest role in developing my own musical tastes. In fact, some of my fondest memories are of listening to Elvis records with my dad when I was younger and even attending disco parties as a teenager. I never really got into the British bands of the 60s, but I still appreciate their music and influence.

I decided to start this website as a means of sharing my knowledge about the 1950s, 60s, and 70s in music. Specifically, I wanted to make this site as an opportunity to preserve the history of the rock n’ roll and disco eras. I’m hoping that this information will prove useful to fellow music lovers and those who were fortunate enough to be alive for these eras!
